Following an incredibly popular outing in 2022, the GearFest UK music studio equipment show is back with veteran organisers Tileyard and SoundOnSound once again at the helm.
For those who missed out last year, GearFest is by far the UK’s fastest growing show for music technology enthusiasts. Visitors are treated to industry panel talks, live demonstrations and some of the finest pro audio equipment the industry has to offer; from studio monitors to interfaces, synths, microphones, headphones and more.
What’s On Show
This year we are delighted to be partnering with renowned speaker manufacturer and SCV-partner Focal to present a unique immersive monitoring experience.
Focal
Our primary demo system will consist of a 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos-approved listening rig, comprising Solo 6 ST6 studio mains plus Focal’s Sub 12 subwoofer.
Announced in Summer of 2022 as a replacement to their Beryllium 6 “Be” range, Focal’s ST6 family takes advantage of 10 years in audio innovations to produce their best performing Solo and Twin models yet, with the added bonus of introducing a brand new 12” subwoofer (Sub12) perfect for multichannel configurations.
A range of suitably impressive musical material will be on offer to give listeners the full effect of this incredible immersive system.
IsoAcoustics
Keeping the components of our Focal Atmos system in place will be IsoAcoustics V120 isolation mounts for ceiling, wall and truss installations.
The V120 mounting system harnesses IsoAcoustics’ patented isolation technology to decouple wall and ceiling-mounted speakers from their adjoining surface. All structure-borne vibrations are removed from the acoustic equation allowing the speaker to perform freely as it was designed with improved clarity and openness.

Asides from our primary demo rig, SCV will also be displaying Focal’s range of professional audio headphones including the Listen Pro closed back and Clear MG Pro open-back models, headphone amplifiers from SPL and audio calibration software from flat-curve pioneers Sonarworks.

All the way from France and offering expert advice on-hand in our demonstration area will be Focal’s Pro Audio Head of Global Sales Vincent Moreuille and Focal Product Manager Sylvain Gondinet.
