Meet the all-purpose headphone amplifier
Released in Spring of 2019, the HA500H is Novafidelity’s first foray into the dedicate headphone amp market, and as such the Korean company aspired to deliver a unique (and overall, wonderful sounding) amplifier to shake up an already popular HiFi market sector.
The HA500H offers a wealth of versatile features that can be customised inline with the listener’s preference or even listening material. Both valve and solid state modes are available to provide extra analogue warmth or a little more transistor precision during playback, while a high/low impedance switch is also on hand to deliver extra ohms for headphones that require them.
At the heart of the HA500H’s circuitry is a dual Sable DAC chip design. This unique conversion configuration serves to greatly increase dynamic range as well as delivering a noticeable jump in sound quality.
