SCV At Canjam London 2019
This year’s London edition of the Canjam premier headphone and audio show lands at an incredibly exciting time in Head-Fi. A number of highly anticipated product releases will be making their very first UK show debut from some of the industry’s most respected audio technology manufacturers. Here we take a closer look at some of the hottest hitters on display at Canjam 2019...
Designed in collaboration with French component manufacturer Micromega, Focal proudly present their very first headphone amplifier featuring a built in DAC and two pure class A amplification modes.
Arche provides switchable voltage and hybrid modes to accommodate a wide range of headphones, but its extra-special offering is a complete set of performance templates designed for each individual Focal high-end headphone model (including Utopia, Elear, Clear, Elegia and Stellia). Firmware is also USB-upgradable to cater for new Focal headphone models as and when they are released.
Many will recognise the prestigious Bricasti Design name from their renowned range of high-end amplifiers and DACs. M3 marks a slight departure from their usual offerings, in that it is their most affordable DAC to date.
Featuring two differential conversion channels, balanced analogue level control circuitry and separate processing for PCM and native DSD, Bricasti have aimed to offer mind-bending audio performance in a much more affordable price class.
First revealed at Winter NAMM 2019 in California, the TM2 system is Fostex’s first foray into true wireless listening with an innovative modular approach. The TM2’s wireless technology operates on Bluetooth 5.0 for ultra-stable connectivity via Qualcomm QCC3026 SoC.
Fostex understands that in-ear listening is a hugely personal preference, and although the TM2 ships with Fostex’s high-quality 6mm dynamic drivers, these can be easily detached to accommodate any user-chosen replacement featuring connectivity via BT5, CIEM, MMCX or FitEar adaptors.
