Good Vibrations: IsoAcoustics Unleashes OREA

Many of you will be familiar with the products of IsoAcoustics, be it from their widely revered range of ISO-Series professional studio monitor stands and pucks, or their more recent hi-fi smash-hit ‘GAIA’ - a range of screw-in isolating feet for floor standing speakers.

This year, still on the noble mission to rid all audio equipment of acoustic anomalies, IsoAcoustics have turned their attention to Hi-Fi separates (or components, as they’re known across the pond). Their latest product aims to remove parasitic vibrations from amplifiers, mono-blocks, DACs, CD players, turntables and more, enabling a new standard of openness and sound clarity.

Presenting OREA

IsoAcoustics OREA Indigo supporting a Benchmark AHB2 Stereo Amplifier

OREA harnesses IsoAcoustics' patented design principles to provide a high degree of vibration isolation and energy management for a broad range of high fidelity components. Simply by placing either three or four OREA units under your hi-fi separate (depending on its factory fitted foot-configuration), any hi-fi system can be enriched with new realms of clarity and openness.

"With four OREAs under each amp, the sound acquired another measure of clarity and transparency; the result was similar to the effect of putting Gaias under my speakers, though not as marked... I find them very worthwhile.”

Robert Deutsch, Stereophile (Jan 2018)

The OREA product is available in two variants. INDIGO features a weight cap of 7.2kg per unit and is suitable for most integrated amplifiers and turntables, whereas BORDEAUX features a much higher maximum weight value of 14.5kg - perfect for larger separates such as heavier mono-block amplifiers.
