Plug-ins
For every modern studio need, Slate Digital have an ingenious plug-in solution.
Building a studio with current industry standards can be costly enough, but loading racks with original vintage outboard is enough to cripple any personal or commercial studio before the first track is even laid down. By painstakingly modelling swathes of iconic classic audio gear, Slate Digital bring the rich sounds of vintage EQs, compressors, tape machines and console channels directly to your digital audio workstation, at an incredibly affordable price and without the need for ongoing hardware maintenance.
Alongside their extensive range of emulation plugins and bundle packs, Slate Digital also provide a new generation of tools for modern production techniques including their MO-TT "over the top" turbo-charged dynamics processor for EDM production, the MetaTune next-generation vocal tuning plugin, the Storch Filter multi-effect plug created in collaboration with award-winning producer Scott Storch, and many more.
All Slate Digital plugins ship with formats to satisfy every modern DAW platform including AAX 64-bit, AU and VST2 to 3.
Virtual Microphone System
The Virtual Microphone System or "VMS" extends the power of Slate Digital's plugin family to a hybrid system including two specially designed microphone models featuring extreme transparency.
When combined with Slate Digital's modelling emulation processing suite, users can recreate the tone of a huge number of classic microphone and preamp models in just a few clicks, and at a fraction of the price when compared to the original articles.
Two VMS microphone models are available to suit a wide range of studio applications. The VMS ML-1 is a large diaphragm condenser well-suited for vocal and instrument recording, while the ML-2 is a smaller diaphragm "pencil" condenser perfect for hard-to-reach jobs such as drums, cymbals and even inside pianos.
Armed with incredibly transparent profiles, Slate Digital's ML-1 and ML-2 microphones are the perfect archetypal blank canvas to accommodate users' chosen microphone and preamp emulation presets.
