The included VMS ML-1 microphone is a large-diaphragm condenser suited to vocal, instrument and room recording applications; while the two VMS ML-2 mics are perfect for capturing hard-to-reach sources, pianos, acoustic instruments and over-head recording in stereo.
The VMS/ML family of hardware microphones has been purposefully designed to create an ideal blank canvas for modelling software technology.
As part of the Complete Bundle, Slate Digital include a huge bank of microphone modelling software, giving users access to arguably one of the world’s largest virtual microphone cabinets. Among the included plugins are Slate’s “Classic Tubes” pack 1, 2 and 3 featuring 13 popular tube and solid state German microphone models, the popular “Blackbird Bundle” of 5 microphone models based on Nashville’s Blackbird Studio mic cabinet, the Classic 87 expansion pack, Classic Instruments and finally the VMR preamp modelling set.
