Millennia have ably produced the world's first and only all-discrete, true differential Class-A JFET input amplifier in the form of the NSEQ-HF high-frequency equaliser module.
NSEQ-HF inherits circuitry directly from Millennia’s NSEQ-4 rack mount equaliser including components such as the FSA093 J-FET amplifier and DSA-01 true-differential line receiver. Both amps run on hand-matched Toshiba 2SJ74 and 2SK170 discrete J-FETs exclusively, with no signal path integrated circuits.
When applied to mix buses, masters, post-production and even live sound, the 21kHz top end boost experiences a certain musicality which is uniquely Millennia-esque, and considered the holy grail of pure Class A discrete audio design.
