Evo for 'Evolution'
The components of each Alpha Evo model have all received upgrades from their origins in the first Alpha range. An aluminium dome tweeter has been selected for optimum sound dispersion, together with a newly introduced Slatefiber woofer cone (developed in house at Focal JMLab). Each new driver has been carefully chosen to exhibit excellent neutrality along with peak dynamic performance across their range.
Dual Class D amplifiers are installed in every Alpha Evo monitor to deliver high current capacity and improved signal control. Evo models also feature a new enlarged laminar port installed at the low front of the monitor. During playback, this addition assists in limiting distortion even at higher volumes.
Mix, Master, DJ or Broadcast
Whatever the application, Alpha Evo monitors have been designed for versatility in any professional environment.
Connectivity on the rear panels has evolved significantly since the original Alpha range, and TRS balanced inputs are now available alongside 3-pin XLR, and unbalance RCA analogue inputs. For broadcast, install and education applications, each Alpha Evo is also fitted with fastenings for standard ceiling and wall mounts (sold separately).
Sophisticated Aesthetics
The undeniably striking design aesthetics mark a true evolution from the Alpha range's original design. Traditional cubic shapes have been swapped with rounded edges and contoured three dimensional side-panels.
The internal assembly of each Alpha Evo cabinet incorporates 15mm MDF supported by internal braces to ensure robust performance even when acoustic pressure is at its highest, while their carefully engineered bass-reflex design promises easy acoustic integration even in smaller spaces, every time.
