Introducing The Millennia HV-316

First announced at Winter NAMM 2020, the HV-316 – designed by California-based boutique outboard manufacturer Millennia Media – is the HV series' most technically advanced and versatile microphone preamp to date.

Benefiting from Millennia’s 28 years of industry experience, the HV-316 harnesses the power of up to sixteen award-winning HV3 preamps sporting dynamic uniformity and timbral realism, as well as sixteen new-generation 192kHz analogue to digital converters built by AKM.

Each channel of the HV-316 can be remotely controlled using Millennia’s proprietary audio software AELogic.

Beyond standard gain and level controls, the 2nd generation AELogic platform also offers control for polarity settings, high-pass filters, phantom power, pads, ribbon settings and stereo channel linking functionality.

For existing HV3 users, AELogic is also forward compatible with all HV3 Remote microphone preamps.

Road-Read Design

The HV-316 is built to weather conditions even in harsh environments such as tour racks, educational institutions, AV vans, remote recording trucks and even outdoor facilities.

Asides from guarding against scrapes, the HV316 is also designed to offer uninterrupted operation even in high-temperature scenarios up to 65 degrees Celsius (150 ºF).

Additionally, the preamp’s intelligent PSU block features redundant powering. If during a performance or recording one power supply fails, another will continue for seamless and continuous operation.

Digital Future

As well as offering simultaneous analogue outputs, the HV-316 also features digital connectivity via Dante 32-bit / 192kHz Ethernet outputs. For Avid Pro Tools users a MIDI 3Q20 input is available, and in 2021 even more retrofit output options are planned for release including USB and MADI.

Coming Soon

The HV-316 is available both as a half-load 8 channel unit and fully loaded 16-channel rack. We are currently expecting delivery of this item in late 2020 pending the developments of COVID-19. For additional information or to be kept informed, contact our pro audio sales team.
