For four decades Triangle HiFi has been firmly positioned at the forefront of home audio innovation, producing loudspeakers from concept to construction all from their headquarter facility in Soissons, France. Their newest limited edition speaker range revamps and improves on the popular Magellan line, introducing four new models to suit a variety of listening spaces and applications.
Celebrating more than forty years of audio success, Triangle present the Magellan 40th Anniversary range.
Brand New Technologies
Each component within every Magellan 40th range speaker has been meticulously chosen to deliver performance worthy of a truly emotive listening experience in line with Triangle’s company ethos. Taking advantage of new technologies from their own in-house research and developments team, several new components have been purpose-built for the task:
- TZ2900PM-MG Tweeter
Featured in every model in the range, the TZ2900 tweeter is a high frequency driver powered by a specially composed magnesium-alloy dome membrane. In operation, this material allows for better transition to the nearby midrange driver and – when combined with Triangle’s patented horn component – delivers remarkable detail all the way up to the loftiest harmonics.

Offering able support to the immense power of several of the Magellan 40th models is Triangle’s new and proprietary LHS2 system. LHS2 cooling technology allows optimised heat transmission via a heat sink ring connected to the rear of each driver module. By setting the optimal temperature, transducers can operate at their peak resulting in improved power handling.

Magellan 40th cabinets have been carefully designed to ensure total inertia following in-house research studies on vibration and micro-deformations. Sporting a curved shape, each cabinet is composed of multiple 3mm layers of high-density fibreboard supported by strategic reinforcements to ensure cabinet integrity from within.

From left to right:
- Quatuor The flagship model of the range, the Quatuor 3-way floor-stander measures in at 135cm high and features rear-tweeter dynamic pulse technology.
- Cello Inspired by the Grand Concert model, the Cello compact floor-stander features 4-drivers in a 3-way configuration and is suited for rooms up to 50 square metres.
- Duetto The most compact of the range, the Duetto delivers signature Triangle liveliness and dynamics with remarkable power, ably filling rooms up to 30 square metres.
- Voce A perfect partner for home theatre enthusiasts, Voce is Triangle’s Magellan 40th Anniversary centre speaker with a talent vocal clarity such as dialogue in film.
